Parental alienation is a scourge that occurs far too often when a couple separates. Sadly, mothers or fathers sometimes use their children as a weapon against their ex-spouse. And when this happens, the grandparents, the parents of the targeted father or mother, are also victims.
Here is some important case law on this subject. Mr. Jean-Louis Baudouin, a judge of the Quebec Court of Appeal, ruled that this could justify a reassessment of the custody of the child.
